Gail Biederman creates both large-scale installations and intimate works on paper utilizing felt and yarn.  Her pieces draw upon experience and memory and act as psychogeographic maps.  

She has had solo exhibitions at BRIC (Brooklyn, NY), Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), Wave Hill (Bronx, NY), Artspace (New Haven, CT), and Westchester Community College (Valhalla, NY).  Her work has been included in shows at Tiger Strikes Asteroid, the Brooklyn Historical Society, Untitled art fair (FL), Lehman College, the Bronx Museum of Art, the Katonah Museum of Art, Islip Art Museum's Carriage House, Smack Mellon, Cuchifritos, and Exit Art.  Biederman has participated in residences at the Bronx Museum of Art, Lower East Side Printshop, the Artists Alliance, LMCC Swing Space on Governors Island, and the Vermont Studio Center.
